Join a South African Photo Safari
There is a unique way to satisfy your craving for adventure along with the opportunity to concentrate on improving as a photographer. Treat yourself to a photography safari in the perennial home of adventure and discovery: South Africa. Fellow photography enthusiasts and animal lovers explore the
African bush for spectacular wildlife photos while your guides help you improve your skills as a photographer. Everyone in the small group comes away with a satisfying dose of adventure, activity, and nature.
South Africa is a stable and safe country for visitors and Kruger National Park is famous for the quality of its animal encounters. Photographic safaris are arranged at the most comfortable time of year when the temperatures are mild, the bugs are minimal, and the undergrowth does not obscure.
The adventure takes place in Kruger National Park and the reserves surrounding the lodge. Private reserves offer activities not found in Kruger such as guided walks and night drives. A particular highlight is tracking the wildlife by micro light bush plane and tracking elephants on foot. Each day is a treasure hunt filled with exciting and unpredictable wildlife. The hosts are professional photographers who have frequented South Africa as well other exotic locations. The safari is suitable for all levels of physical fitness and photographic experience. The casual atmosphere will encourage you to ask questions, learn and experiment with different techniques, and learn from not only your guide, but from other members of your group. Open vehicles, boats, and walking get you as close as possible to the action. Guests stay in a small family owned lodge comprised of comfortable and unique tree houses. The lodge features excellent African cuisine including game meats served in a unique setting, an observation platform, bar and lounge, and free roaming giraffes and other animals.
A photographic safari is an excellent way to gain skills and confidence as a
photographer while having the adventure of a lifetime. Guests return revitalized with colorful memories, some exciting stories, and a fresh outlook. The sense of accomplishment and new skills can last a lifetime.
